🌟 GCIP Lesotho Experts Panel: Empowering Cleantech Innovation 🌟
On 14 November, Global Cleantech Innovation Programme (GCIP)-Lesotho hosted a highly successful Expert Panels workshop as part of its Post-Accelerator Support for the 2023 Alumni. The event aimed to:
✅ Increase knowledge on scaling cleantech innovations and strengthen the GCIP alumni network and collaboration opportunities
✅ Foster potential partnerships for future cleantech projects
The event featured insightful sessions:
Session 1: Mrs. Marorisang Patricia Makututsa, CPFA® opened the workshop, emphasizing GCIP’s ongoing efforts to support cleantech entrepreneurs.
Session 2: Keynote by Ms. Rethabile Mafura, Country Director of African Clean Energy, highlighted the importance of scaling cleantech innovations for sustainable economic and environmental benefits. She shared her inspiring entrepreneurship journey.
Session 3: Alumni companies, including Nalane Green Solutions, MAHLASELIENERGY, Kaeane renewable energy developers, AnnaCath Holdings (PTY)LTD, Nomsa Plastic Bricks, and IQON Business Services, shared success stories and lessons learned from the field.
Session 4: A panel moderated by Mr. Hlabathe Posholi MBA discussed critical challenges in scaling cleantech innovations:
Mr. Mojalefa Sello addressed policy impacts on cleantech growth in Lesotho.
Mr. Lesaoana Monyane, FMVA®,CBCA®,FPWM® explored financial instruments for funding cleantech ventures.
Mr. Khotso Evaristus Masheane, as Managing Consultant at Senqu HR Solutions and Non-Executive Director of LEWA, highlighted HR strategies for startups and LEWA`s role in creating a supportive environment.
Ms. Mathato Masiloane provided strategies to expand cleantech innovations to wider markets.
Session 5: Mr. Nyambuya Leonard delivered insights on innovation and venture capital opportunities within Lesotho’s capital markets.
