dddThe Inclusive Green Transition track provides acceleration support to startups as part of the Migration Multi-Partner Trust Fund (Migration MPTF)-funded project, 'Supporting Migrants’ Inclusion in Türkiye’s Transition to a Green Economy. The world is at a critical juncture, demanding a radical shift towards a sustainable and resilient future. As we confront the urgent challenges of climate change, resource depletion, and environmental degradation, we also uncover immense opportunities for transformation. We believe innovative cleantech solutions are the key to unlocking a brighter, greener future for all. The green transition represents a fundamental shift towards climate-neutral, sustainable, and inclusive economic models. It requires businesses and industries to reduce environmental impacts, adopt clean technologies, and integrate circularity while ensuring long-term economic viability. 

To further Türkiye’s commitment to just transition, and to ensure no one is left behind, MSMEs owned by migrants, MSMEs employing migrants and those sectors that include high numbers of migrant workers need to participate in efforts to transition to a green economy.  

The MPTF Inclusive Green Transition is designed to support businesses in Türkiye owned by migrants or employing migrants who are passionate about supporting climate-neutral and inclusive economic models by creating sustainable and environmentally friendly solutions reducing environmental impacts, adopting low-carbon technologies, and integrating circularity while ensuring long-term economic viability. If you are dedicated to developing solutions that that are aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), this is your opportunity to accelerate your business idea and make a lasting impact in Turkey's transition green economy. 

Thematic Focus 

We are looking for all innovative solutions that contribute to environmentally sustainable and climate neutral societies, whether your solution is focused on clean energy, circular economy, or other green solutions, we want to support you in scaling your impact.

Applications will be evaluated based on the potential impact, feasibility, scalability, and innovation of the proposed solutions, as well as the applicant's demonstrated commitment to sustainability and social responsibility. 

Who Can Apply? 

Up to 10 teams will be selected to participate in the Inclusive Green Transition Call*. We especially encourage applications from teams with young entrepreneurs, women entrepreneurs, and/or migrant and expats as well as international student entrepreneurs. The track is primarily designed for participants who have relocated to Türkiye from another country. However, the call is also open to Turkish citizens, ensuring inclusivity for all applicants, with a particular emphasis on women and youth. Applications in Turkish will also be considered. 

 *Please note that the number of selected teams may vary depending on the number of applications. 
 

Key Dates 

The Call for Applications will open on the 16th of April and close on the 28th of May 2025. 
 

The Acceleration services 

Those selected for the Inclusive Green Transition Track will participate in an intensive business training within the GCIP Accelerator to further develop their cleantech solutions, refine their business skills, and connect with fellow innovators. Participants gain access to a 3–4-day National Training Academy and a 15-week Acceleration Phase, which includes webinar-based training, mentorship, investor connections, prizes, and a final award ceremony. 

Requirements for Submissions 

- Be new and groundbreaking, incorporate adaptations of existing technologies/business models, or apply existing technologies/business models in unique ways. 

- Have potential for protectable intellectual property.

- Demonstrate a feasible concept and product with commercial potential. 

- Technology stage: Proof of concept to pre-commercialization/early commercialization. 

- The company/team must have at least two members.
