GCIP 2.0 is an opportunity for startups and small & medium-sized enterprises to receive international expertise and financial support and enter the global climate technology market.

The programme brings together experts, government authorities, investors and companies worldwide to help Ukrainian teams develop innovative cleantech solutions, scale their business and find strategic partners. The GCIP Ukraine 2.0 core focus areas include energy efficiency, renewable energy, waste beneficiation, water efficiency, green transportation, green buildings, and advanced materials & chemicals.

Participants of the acceleration programme have the opportunity to improve their product, receive grant funding, strengthen networking, and prepare for a successful international entry, which is especially important for rapid growth and strengthening during difficult economic conditions.

GCIP Ukraine 2.0 cultivates an ecosystem where companies can grow, deploy green solutions, and lay the groundwork for a sustainable future.

GCIP Ukraine is part of the Global Cleantech Innovation Programme, launched by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization and the Global Environment Facility. In 2025, Ukraine introduced the second phase of the programme, GCIP Ukraine 2.0, implemented by Greencubator — an organization that has been advancing sustainable entrepreneurship in Ukraine for more than 16 years.

The GCIP Ukraine 2.0 is particularly relevant for Ukraine in times of war, when the country needs new economic opportunities and tools for sustainable recovery.

Despite the war, Ukraine has a strong IT industry with innovative companies and a large pool of highly skilled professionals who create world-renowned startups. Stimulating climate innovations, as well as supporting entrepreneurs and SMEs, can increase the country's energy independence, promote the rational use of resources and reduce the environmental impact of military operations.

Thanks to GCIP Ukraine 2.0, these innovations can receive the necessary funding, expert support and access to international markets more quickly, strengthening Ukraine's economic resilience both during the war and in the following recovery period.
