What is GCIP Türkiye?

Türkiye, as a significant global player, has long supported global environmental endeavors. First phase of the GCIP Project was carried out between years 2013 and 2018. During this period, nearly 900 applications were received between 2013 and 2018. In total, 139 clean technology initiatives benefited from the acceleration processes. Companies with highcommercialization potential, who successfully completed the first phase of the program, wereprovided with support for participation in the Cleantech Open Global Forum held in California's Silicon Valley and monetary rewards. SMEs and start-up companies working in the fields of energy efficiency, renewable energy, water efficiency, waste management, green buildings, smart transportation and advanced materials were given extensive training, mentorship, access to investors and opportunities to showcase their innovations to the media and the public. Companies with high commercialization potential, who successfully completed the first phase of the program, were provided with support for participation in the Cleantech Open Global Forum held in California's Silicon Valley and monetary rewards. As a result of the GCIP Phase 1’s positive contribution to clean technology entrepreneurship, the capacity created, Türkiye has joined in the second phase of GCIP.

In the Phase 2 of GCIP, which takes place 2022-2027, we are hoping to create higher impact by integrating the technology validation and investment readiness dimensions of cleantech entrepreneurs to compete in the global market, in addition to the accelerator activities. Cleantech provides opportunities for entrepreneurs to create innovative solutions to climate change, promotes sustainable economic growth, creates jobs, and is an integral part of the transition to a low-carbon economy. We are waiting for your applications in seven global GCIP technologies: 1. Energy Efficiency, 2. Renewable Energy 3. Waste Beneficiation 4. Water Efficiency 5. Green Buildings 6. Transportation 7. Advanced Materials and Chemicals.

We encourage you to join the GCIP global community of like-minded entrepreneurs and take your place among the next generation of cleantech leaders. GCIP Türkiye also contributes to capacity building of national technology and innovation institutions, and to the formulation of inclusive policy frameworks and creates partnerships between stakeholders in the public, private and academic sectors.sda
